Barry Western is a M&A Partner and Business Broker with The FINN Group. He leads FINN Mergers & Acquisitions WA, the Group’s Western Australian branch, and works with business owners on established business sales and suitable mergers and acquisitions across Australia.
Barry brings more than 30 years of hands-on commercial experience across manufacturing, operations, sales, senior management and business ownership. His career began on the factory floor and progressed through production and operations leadership, sales and general management, and more than 15 years in director-level roles. He has also served as Managing Director of his own business. This background gives him a practical understanding of the people, systems, customers and commercial risks behind a set of financial statements.
For Western Australian owners, Barry offers a direct, senior point of contact in Perth, backed by the reach of the FINN network. As a national M&A partner, he also supports larger and more complex transactions beyond WA. His work spans sale and exit preparation, business sales, buyer engagement, negotiation and the transaction process through to settlement, with discretion and clear communication throughout.
Barry holds diplomas in Management, Business, and Sales & Marketing. His approach is grounded in a simple principle: understand the business and its owner’s objectives before recommending a path to market.
